exercise is a part of my daily routine. i am looking for a way to make it manageable and not extremely daunting. i'm a baby at this so i'm taking slow steps to healthy living but steps nonetheless. i feel like i'm in a good place to begin again because whenever i worked out before, it was for cosmetic reasons (looking nice in my clothes, feeling good, etc.). i don't think anything is wrong with that at all BUT it wasn't working for me because i already like the way i look. yeah, i have a bunch of clothes i can't get into but i've worked with the ones that i can get into and i look good in them...@ least, i think so.
so i had to find another reason. hmm....perhaps, being healthy...that's a pretty good reason! lol. but seriously, it hasn't just been about losing weight but also about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. getting all the right vitamins and minerals (leafy greens, vitamins A, C , and K....didn't know there was a 'K', did ya? l0l.). cancer is in my family line...i have to take preventative measures. i exercise @ least 3 days a week for at least 30 minutes, eat healthy, and am now trying to make sure i get the right amounts of sleep. lol. the sleep part has been interesting.
think of it this way: think of the most beautiful luxury car you could purchase. you would take care of that car and keep it in immaculate condition. You'd make sure to put the right grade of gasoline in the car. You'd get regular oil changes, car washes, detailing, etc. All this for a car. Why not do the same for yourself??? Too many times, we put our own livelihood on the back burner and why? because we're just too lazy and don't want to see anything through.
what a shame.
