i've been listening to the radio on my computer and it's been such a blessing all evening to me. this one singer named angela bryant-brown had songs in heavy rotation. i've heard her before at alumni weekends at oakwood but never really listened to any of her recordings. the songs that i've heard by her so far on her cd entitled "angela" have been awesome!
so i've been really yearning to get DEEP into my music for years now and i finally feel like i'm in a position where i can devote solid time and $$ toward training. i'd like to begin this fall. i've played the flute for years but stopped during my jr year in hs. it's been a while. a friend of mine got me involved in an ensemble and it was during practices that i realized how behind i truly am :{ i have ALOT of growing to do. so i've been emailing different teachers to see what their rates are and what they specialize in so that i can get EXACTLY what i'm looking for in terms of training. i REALLY want to learn to play jazz and classical really really well. I know i can totally do it. i just need someone to give me the tools and push me...aka a teacher. lol. pretty soon, i'll be playing wave in no time....well actually i can play it now but there are alot of technical stuff (air control, rifts, freestyling) in jazz that i just don't know how to do. :)
